Synopsis
In the quiet town of Shirley, Vermont, a quintet of strangers—a vulnerable carpenter, a reserved teenager, a wandering actress, and a bohemian couple—gather in a community center for a six-week "creative drama" class. Through a series of quirky theater games led by their well-meaning instructor, the group’s defenses slowly unravel, exposing their hidden hopes, fears, and desires. As laughter and vulnerability collide, secrets simmer beneath the surface, and every moment holds the possibility of transformation. Annie Baker’s acclaimed play invites audiences to witness the humor, heartbreak, and longing that connect us all—and to discover what happens when ordinary lives intersect in extraordinary ways.
CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)
